During countless journeys across the island, Skye became much more than a destination. It became a place to slow down, to listen, to observe and to appreciate the simple beauty of Scotland.
Many of the photographs featured throughout this website were taken while exploring Skye's dramatic landscapes. The island's atmosphere, silence and ever-changing weather continue to inspire both the music and the stories behind Scotland – A Love Letter: Fourteen Postcards from the Highlands.
For us, Skye is not simply a place to visit. It is a place we always return to.
OUR STORY BEGINS HERE
We never came to Skye looking for songs. We came because we wanted to walk. To carry everything we needed on our backs. To sleep outside. To disappear for a while. What we found was something far greater than a destination. We found a place that quietly became part of our lives.
This is where it all began.
There are places that leave footprints.
Skye leaves them on your soul.

For days we carried our home on our backs. Sometimes the smallest moments became the biggest memories.
